Graduates

Each year we recruit graduates to join MSD Accountants to train in a partner led supportive environment across our Audit, Business Support Service and Taxation teams.

Role: Audit Semi-Senior

About MSD Accountants

MSD is a four-partner practice, based in north Dublin, providing a range of services including audit, accountancy, tax and advisory to a diverse and interesting client base comprising both national and international clients.

We are looking to recruit an audit semi-senior as part of our growing audit team. The role involves working a diverse portfolio of clients, client engagement.

This is a permanent full-time position based in our office in North Dublin. The hours of work are from Monday – Friday, 8.30.am – 5.00pm. On successful completion of probation, a hybrid model of work can be agreed for the successful candidate.

The Role

Working closely with the partners in the Assurance team on a diverse and interesting portfolio of clients which operate across a broad range of sectors which include motor, construction, distribution, manufacturing, and logistics on the planning, field work and completion of all aspects of the audit engagement.

Responsibilities of the role

• Assist with planning of audit and performing audits
• Prepare financial statements and high-quality work papers
• Delegate to the audit team and provide on the job training
• Complete Audit files; bring assignments to completion
• Provides performance feedback to trainees at end of engagement
• Applies analytical thinking and professional scepticism.

The requirements

• Part qualifies ACCA, ACA, or CPA qualification
• Currently working in a practice environment
• 2 years Audit and/or accounts experience.
• Ability to provide guidance and training to others
• Commitment to professional and client service excellence
• Sound computer literacy; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Good knowledge of FRS 102
• Knowledge of CaseWare would be an advantage.

Role: Audit Senior

About MSD Accountants

We are looking to recruit an audit manager to enhance our client service team. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients, client engagement and the development of strong working relationships internally with peers and externally with new and existing clients.

This is a permanent full-time position based in our office in North Dublin. The hours of work are from Monday – Friday, 8.30.am – 5.00pm. On successful completion of probation, a hybrid model of work can be agreed for the successful candidate.

The Role

The requirements

• ACCA, ACA, or CPA qualification
• Currently working in a practice environment
• Audit experience and recently qualified (0-2 years PQE).
• Excellent organisational and planning capabilities
• Ability to provide guidance and training to others
• Strong technical background
• Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
• Sound computer literacy; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable client facing
• Good knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
• Knowledge of CaseWare would be an advantage.

Role: Tax Trainee

About MSD Accountants

MSD is a four-partner practice, based in north Dublin, providing a range of services including audit, accountancy, tax and advisory to a diverse and interesting client base comprising both national and international clients.

We are looking to recruit a Tax Trainee as part of our growing Tax Compliance and Tax Advisory team. The role involves working with a diverse and expanding portfolio of clients both Personal and Corporate.

This is a permanent full-time position based in our office in North Dublin. The hours of work are from Monday – Friday, 8.30.am – 5.00pm. On successful completion of probation, a hybrid model of work can be agreed for the successful candidate.

The Role

Working as part of our Tax Compliance and Tax Advisory team on a diverse and interesting portfolio of clients which operate across a broad range of sectors.

Responsibilities of the role

• Assisting with the preparation of Corporation Tax, Income Tax, CGT and other Revenue returns and computations and submitting same to the Revenue Commissioners.
• Maintaining and monitoring and tracking of compliance lists to ensure deadlines are met.
• Dealing with queries raised by clients and Revenue.
• Assisting with research for senior tax staff involving research into technical tax issues and legislation.

The requirements

• CTA Part-qualified
• A passion and desire to pursue a career as a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA)
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Sharp attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work to strict deadlines
